Why Bēquebēque

Most money apps make you think their way.
This one thinks like you.

Shape it around your life — not your life around it.
Your money. Your structure. Your rules.

🧩

Shape it your way

No fixed categories, no someone-else's-system. Build buckets that match your life — and they bend however you need, whenever that changes.

👁️

Feel it at a glance

Bar fill, colors shift, the number's right there. Know exactly where you stand in half a second — no spreadsheets, no math, no digging.

💬

Shows you, never scolds you

It doesn't hand you rules or guilt-trip your spending. It just reflects your money back, clearly — so you understand it on your own terms.

How it works

Three steps, then you're done

1

🪣 Set up your buckets

Create buckets for every spending category that matters to you. Fixed bills, flex money, savings goals, installment plans.

Takes less than a minute
2

💸 Allot your income

When your funds come in, distribute them across your buckets. Bēquebēque tells you how much is left to assign.

Satisfying, we promise
3

✍️ Log and forget the anxiety

The bucket tells you what's left so you never have to guess if you can afford something.

Spend guilt-free

What's new

We're losing our Beta badge.

After months in beta, Bēquebēque is officially v1.0. Buckets, transactions, widgets, the calendar, and statistics with AI insights are all stable now — and new accounts get a guided walkthrough instead of landing on an empty dashboard. Right before that, v0.7.7 brought drag-and-drop reordering for buckets and widgets, plus a rebuilt Transaction History filter to match Statistics.

Read the full changelog
July 18, 2026
  • A budgeted expense bucket that was spent down to exactly ₱0 showed "-₱0 overdrawn" — it now correctly shows "₱0 Left" with a full bar, and "overdrawn" only appears once you actually go over
  • Deleting a recurring transaction could fail silently partway through, leaving the entry set to keep repeating into future months even though it was deleted
July 14, 2026
  • Expense buckets without an allotted amount now show monthly totals instead of nothing — "Total unpaid" on the left and "Total spent" on the right, both on the dashboard card and in the bucket detail popup
July 12, 2026
  • True Black theme — a third option alongside Light and Dark, with pure black surfaces throughout instead of dark gray
  • Unassigned transactions in Transaction History can now be reassigned to a bucket directly, including creating a brand-new bucket on the spot — scoped to whichever month the transaction actually belongs to, not whichever month you happen to be viewing
  • Transaction History has a proper cleanup mode — bulk-select and permanently delete old deleted or unassigned entries instead of one at a time
  • Deleting a recurring bucket is simpler — one clear "delete everywhere" action instead of a confusing two-step choice
  • Narrowing a bucket's active date range now warns immediately if it would leave entries unassigned, and lets you choose to archive or delete them before you save
  • Bucket cards animate in and out instead of appearing and disappearing instantly
  • Ask Bekbek and the Statistics AI insights daily limits were raised to match Gemini's actual free-tier quota
  • An unassigned recurring transaction no longer keeps spawning copies of itself into other months after being deleted
  • A recurring transaction could show a phantom preview in a month before the bucket it belonged to even existed yet
  • Backdating a recurring, already-paid expense could leave its past-month copies without a bucket assigned
  • A dropdown menu in Transaction History could render behind the row below it
July 11, 2026
  • The mobile popup-vs-bottom-nav bug from 1.12.2 was only half fixed — the real cause was a site-wide rule that disables clicks on the whole app background while any popup is open, which caught the nav too
  • The guided tour could get you stuck behind an unresponsive screen with no way out if a step failed to load — tapping the background now always offers a way to quit
  • The guided tour now requires you to actually complete each step (typing a name, picking a bucket, choosing an icon/color) before "Next" unlocks, instead of letting you click through without doing anything and landing on a broken step
  • Several guided tour steps (bucket/entry dropdowns, the emoji and color pickers, the widget Bucket/Global toggle) could advance prematurely or accept the wrong choice entirely
  • The guided tour's own popup and highlight could get hidden behind whatever modal or picker was open at the time
  • Guided tour redesigned: no more dimmed background, clicking anywhere in the current form still works normally, and the tour card now sits beside the highlighted item on desktop instead of covering nearby content
  • Settings → Help → Replay guided tour, for revisiting it anytime
  • Bucket type and "Recurring" tags in the bucket detail view now match the compact style used on the dashboard, and long bucket names shrink to fit on mobile instead of crowding the row
  • The Report a Bug page didn't pick up status/vote changes made on another device until you manually refreshed
July 11, 2026
  • On mobile, popups (log entry, bucket detail, etc.) could visually sit on top of the bottom nav bar and swallow taps meant for it
  • The paid checkbox on a projected (not-yet-real) entry inside the dashboard wouldn't respond to taps
  • A recurring bucket stayed grayed out as "projected" even after you'd logged a real entry into it for that month
  • Leaving a new recurring bucket's start date blank silently defaulted it to the month you were viewing, instead of actually leaving it open-ended
July 11, 2026
  • The "new update" push notification now goes out the moment an update ships, instead of waiting for the next scheduled check
July 11, 2026
  • Money moved into a savings bucket now actually reduces Funds Remaining, everywhere — including Ask Bekbek's own math, which previously treated a savings deposit as separate from spending
  • "Salary" is now called "Funds" throughout the app, including Settings, widgets, the guided tour, and the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service — a more accurate name for money that can come from more than one paycheck
  • Ask Bekbek and the Statistics AI insights now share one fair, real daily question limit instead of an arbitrary credit count, and quietly switch to a backup AI (shown as a small "Switched to Groq" divider) if the primary one is busy
  • Dashboard, Calendar, Expenses, Statistics, and Settings now load faster and update instantly when you add, edit, or delete something, instead of waiting on a full reload
  • The splash screen could reappear when navigating back into the app instead of showing only once per visit
July 11, 2026
  • Homepage still had its own leftover theme toggle button, and could briefly show the hero's mock bucket cards in the wrong (washed-out) color on load
July 11, 2026
  • Get emailed when your bug report is marked solved, gets a new comment, or gets upvoted/downvoted
  • Theme setting now offers System (follows your device automatically) alongside Light and Dark, and syncs across devices instead of only remembering per-browser
  • Dark mode could revert to light after a reload if your browser lost its local theme setting — now stored on your account
  • A deleted report now shows "Redacted" instead of "Anonymous" for the author, so it reads as removed rather than intentionally anonymous
July 11, 2026
  • New accounts could silently miss their welcome email if the app synced their profile before the "new account" check ran — fixed by tracking whether the email was actually sent, not just whether the profile row exists
July 10, 2026
  • Privacy Policy updated with a new "Administrator access" section, disclosing the account-level info (name, email, photo, activity, notification settings) visible on the admin dashboard — your financial data is never part of it
  • A dismissible banner now nudges accounts that never turned on push or email reminders to enable them in Settings
July 10, 2026
  • Deleting your account now sends a proper goodbye email, alongside the existing data cleanup
  • Changelog updates now also send a push notification (to anyone with push enabled), not just the in-app banner
  • Welcome email now has the same logo + wordmark header banner as the due-date reminder email
  • Privacy policy's "Last updated" date was stale after a recent edit — corrected, and going forward every real policy change updates this date
  • Ask Bekbek mobile sheet: swiping down to close now also works from the header area (where the title is), not just the thin drag handle above it
July 10, 2026
  • Welcome email got its real design — numbered "getting started" steps, an "and there's more" section with the actual Ask Bekbek/recurring/reminders icons instead of placeholders, and a squircle CTA button
July 10, 2026
  • New accounts get a welcome email the moment they land on their first (empty) dashboard
  • Push Notifications setting description now mentions all three things it covers — due dates, the daily log reminder, and new-month heads-ups
  • Deleting your account now also clears your push subscriptions and notification history, not just your transactions/buckets/widgets
  • Onboarding could theoretically re-fire for an account that already completed it, if it later ended up empty again (e.g. after clearing data) or was opened on a new device — now checked server-side so it only ever shows once
July 10, 2026
  • Daily push reminder (~8pm) to log your expenses — only fires if you haven't logged anything that day
  • New-month rollover push on the 1st — a heads-up that your recurring bills are saved for the new month and it's time to add this month's income
July 10, 2026
  • Settings: Google Drive/Calendar/Gmail "Coming Soon" placeholders replaced with real Push Notifications and Email Notifications toggles
  • New accounts get a one-tap opt-in for push and email due-date reminders during onboarding, with a heads-up if you decline push permission
  • Removed the floating admin test-push button — the daily automated due-date check now covers what it was for
  • Cleaned up leftover "planned for a future update" Google Drive/Calendar/Gmail copy from the login page and privacy policy, now that push + email reminders are actually shipped
July 10, 2026
  • Due-date reminder emails now send from hello@bequebeque.com instead of reminders@ — the alias with a working Gravatar avatar attached
July 10, 2026
  • Due-date email digest: urgency indicator swapped to the same 🟡🟠🔴 emoji used elsewhere in the app instead of a color dot, so it can't get miscolored by an email client's forced dark mode
  • Due-date email digest: the "update your notification preferences in Settings" line now actually links to Settings
July 10, 2026
  • Due-date reminders now also send as an email — a digest of every upcoming bill, color-coded 🟡🟠🔴 by urgency, with a button back to the app
  • The email reminder follows the same anti-spam rules as push — only re-sends when a bill's urgency changes, or daily once it's actually overdue
July 10, 2026
  • Due-date push notifications no longer repeat every day for the same bill — only when its urgency changes (yellow → orange → red). Once it's actually overdue, it keeps reminding you daily until it's paid
July 9, 2026
  • Push notifications for bills due within 7 days — color-coded 🟡🟠🔴 by urgency, with a casual, light heads-up tone instead of a plain date
  • Tap a due-date push notification and it's marked paid instantly — opens straight to Calendar with the same confetti "Marked as paid" screen you get from tapping Mark as Paid yourself
  • Bills are now checked automatically once a day, instead of only sending a push when manually tested
  • Due-date push notifications for recurring bills were showing the wrong number of days — they now use the same carried-forward due date the dashboard and calendar already show
July 9, 2026
  • Ask Bekbek now always opens to a fresh chat instead of resuming your last conversation — past chats are still one tap away in history
  • Bucket history: past months with nothing matching your Paid/Unpaid filter now fold away by default instead of repeating "You're all caught up!" over and over — tap any month to peek inside anyway
  • Cleaned up transaction entries inside a bucket's history — removed an old background tint, added subtle dividers between entries, and gave notes a proper highlighted box
  • Jumping to a transaction (from Ask Bekbek, search, etc.) now shows a clean, fully rounded highlight pulse that fades out smoothly, instead of one with hard-cut edges that vanished abruptly
  • Ask Bekbek: the chat history menu now animates in the same way the New Chat button does, and each chat's ⋯ menu matches the app's standard popup style
  • Report a bug: redesigned the Photo/Video toggle (no heavy outline, sized to match the link field) and added an info icon to the upload hint
  • Swapped in a new trash can icon everywhere delete actions appear
July 9, 2026
  • Transaction History: the stats bar and the filter/search row now show a shimmer placeholder while loading instead of disappearing and popping back in
  • Dashboard: recent transaction icons now use the same fixed, dark-mode-safe bucket color as the bucket cards, instead of an older tint that could look off
  • Bug report board: opening a Google Drive or YouTube video on mobile no longer shows two overlapping video frames — our own close/nav controls stay out of the way and the player is no longer squeezed into a fixed aspect ratio
July 8, 2026
  • The "what's new" tour after onboarding now has two extra stops: a live dark/light mode demo you can actually toggle right there, and a proper intro to Ask Bekbek
  • Creating or deleting a bucket or entry now shows a small auto-dismissing notification with a depleting progress bar instead of a plain pill — in the notifications panel on desktop, as a toast on mobile
  • Skipping the guided tour still shows you the "what's new" recap afterward instead of skipping past it entirely
  • The guided tour can no longer get silently stuck if you click something you weren't supposed to mid-tour
  • Delete-all-data now shakes the input and shows a red outline if you type the confirmation word wrong, instead of just quietly doing nothing
  • Several dark mode contrast bugs — onboarding cards, the bucket dropdown's hover state, and the guided tour's completion toast all had invisible or washed-out text
  • A visual glitch where hovering a bucket card behind an open delete-confirmation modal could flicker or show through
  • Removed the stuck "v1.0" label next to the logo in the header — it never updated and wasn't worth wiring up over just showing
July 7, 2026
  • Dashboard bucket cards: transaction pills now fill the available width properly instead of a fixed count — a bucket only gets a "+N"/View All when a 3rd row is actually needed, instead of leaving empty space next to it
  • Settings: the AI Insights toggle description now mentions it also controls Ask Bekbek
July 7, 2026
  • Ask Bekbek can now log a transaction for you — mention a purchase or a payment, tell it the amount, pick from its suggested buckets (or "Something else…" for the full list), and confirm on a preview card. Creates the real entry and links straight to it
  • Ask Bekbek: chat history! The burger menu (top-right on web, in the sheet header on mobile) holds a blue New Chat button and your last 10 conversations, each with an AI-generated title
  • Ask Bekbek: switch between saved chats freely — each keeps its own conversation and context
  • Ask Bekbek: delete chats via the ⋮ menu on web, or swipe a chat left on mobile to reveal Delete — swipe all the way and it deletes instantly, no confirmation needed
  • Ask Bekbek won't edit or delete an existing entry itself if you ask — it'll say so and link you straight to it instead
  • The web history panel now slides open smoothly, narrowing the chat instead of snapping — same for the New Chat button growing in and the closing animation
  • "Reading your data…" now cycles through cat-themed phrases with a subtle shimmer instead of sitting static
  • A failed reply now quietly retries up to 3 times before showing the error bubble with Regenerate
  • Mobile Bekbek sheet: the × close button is now the chat menu, the drawer is sized to the sheet instead of the full screen, and the composer sits at the bottom where it belongs
  • Dark mode: inactive chats in the history list read as plain text now, no card fill — only the active/hovered one gets one
July 7, 2026
  • Ask Bekbek: replies now link the buckets and transactions they mention — tap one to open that bucket's detail popup right there, with the exact entry scrolled to and pulsing
  • Ask Bekbek: conversations are now saved on your device (per account) — reload, close the tab, come back tomorrow, the chat is still there
  • Ask Bekbek: daily credits ring — a small circle beside the message box quietly depletes as you chat instead of a "questions left" counter; hover or tap it for the exact count
  • Ask Bekbek: failed replies now get a Regenerate button, same as the Statistics AI overview
  • Ask Bekbek: a backup AI model automatically takes over when Gemini hits its rate limit, and hands back the moment it recovers — same personality, same data
  • Settings → Appearance: new toggle to show or hide the floating calculator on the dashboard
  • Ask Bekbek page redesigned — full-width card with a centered chat column, replies stream in word-by-word as plain full-width text (no more grey bubbles), with bold and italic support
  • Bekbek the cat got a glow-up: bigger, blue, spins in on load, blinks, and sways its tail like an actual cat
  • Suggestion pills moved to the bottom of the chat, right above the message box; placeholder is now just "Ask Bekbek"
  • Questions capped at 300 characters with a live counter that appears inside the box as you approach the limit
  • Mobile Bekbek sheet redesigned with a layered look — dark base, raised messages card, composer on the base layer
  • The AI was reading payments on your own loans as money coming IN — it now knows loan payments are outgoing, with an explicit per-loan summary (affects Bekbek and Statistics insights)
  • Bekbek chats no longer leak between different accounts signed in on the same browser
  • Settings: uneven spacing around the Appearance dividers and the last toggle row in each card
July 6, 2026
  • 🐱 Meet Ask Bekbek (Beta) — an AI chat that reads your real numbers (buckets, spending, savings, subscriptions, salary) and answers questions like "how much can I still spend this month?" Find it under Tools in the sidebar, or slide the + button upward on mobile. 10 questions a day.
  • Floating calculator on the dashboard — tap the blue bubble in the corner for a draggable mini calculator that flies back into its bubble when you click away
  • Excel export completely rebuilt — Summary, Buckets, Monthly Budgets, and All Transactions sheets on top of the per-month tabs, with auto-fit columns and a filename stamped with your name and export time
  • Transaction History: entries now grouped under day headers (July 1, July 2, …) instead of one flat list
  • Transaction History: deleted entries have a ⋯ menu to restore them or delete permanently, and wear a red outline so they stand out at a glance
  • Calendar: entries with due dates now show on both the day they were logged (solid dot) and the day they're due (outlined dot)
  • Calendar: an animated "You're all caught up!" seal appears when nothing is due — and marking a due item paid now removes it from the due lists
  • Marking something paid got a glow-up — the confirmation now pops in with an animated seal-of-approval stamp
  • Transaction History search moved beside the bucket filters, and the title no longer wraps on mobile
  • Custom-colored widgets now have a proper dark mode variant, and calendar day cells fit more entries on desktop
  • Ask Bekbek and all AI features respect the AI Insights toggle in Settings — turn it off and Bekbek takes a nap
  • AI insights were silently ignoring most transactions due to a query quirk — analyses now see your full history
  • Per-month salary overrides were never applied in AI analysis math — now resolved exactly like the rest of the app
  • The confetti toggle in Settings no longer gets squished by its label
July 6, 2026
  • Report a Bug: photo/video attachments are now a swipeable gallery — 4:3 view, arrows and dots on desktop, real touch-swipe on mobile — instead of a small thumbnail grid
  • Report a Bug: comments can now be posted anonymously via a toggle built into the comment box
  • Report a Bug: comments now have a 300-character limit with a live counter
  • Report a Bug: the report list now paginates at 6 per page instead of showing everything at once
  • Transaction History: added a search bar with an "All time" toggle to search every month instead of just the current one
  • Add Entry: typing a name now suggests autocompletions from your past entries of the same type — press Tab, or swipe right on mobile, to accept
  • Calendar: tapping a day with entries now shows a Spent / Deposited totals bar for that day
  • Portrait photos and gifs in bug reports now show fully uncropped, centered over a blurred backdrop, instead of being cropped to fill the frame
  • Bucket colors overhauled — the color you pick is now used far more directly (your actual color for outlines/icons, proportional tints for backgrounds/tags) instead of being flattened into generic pastel shades that made different colors look nearly identical
  • Widgets with a custom color now use it as a bold solid background instead of a muted tint, with automatically-chosen dark or white text for contrast
  • Report a Bug: comment box and admin controls now stay fixed at the top/bottom of an open report while only the middle content scrolls, so they're never lost below long reports
  • Dashboard widget grid capped at 2 columns for consistency — previously could awkwardly expand to 3 depending on how many widgets you had
  • Bucket deletion internals simplified to consistently use active_until instead of a separate deleted-flag mechanism
  • Orphaned transactions from a deleted-and-archived bucket can now be unlinked cleanly, keeping them in history without a dangling bucket reference
  • Fixed several contrast bugs where text could render illegible against certain bucket or widget colors — the contrast checker now measures actual contrast ratios instead of assuming a fixed brightness cutoff
  • Fixed bug report videos not autoplaying (or not playing at all on some mobile browsers) in the full-screen viewer
  • Fixed YouTube/Drive video controls overflowing or getting cut off in the bug report viewer on narrow screens
June 22, 2026
  • 🎉 Bēquebēque is officially out of beta — welcome to v1.0
  • New guided onboarding for first-time accounts — an intro walkthrough, a live spotlighted tour through setting up funds, your first bucket, your first entry, and your first widget, then a wrap-up tour of everything else in here
  • Statistics, Calendar, Transaction History, Settings, and the full bucket/widget system are all considered stable and complete for v1.0
June 22, 2026
  • 🐞 Launched the Report a Bug community board — post bugs, upvote/downvote, comment, search before posting a duplicate, and post anonymously if you'd rather not attach your name
  • Reports support up to 4 photo or video links — Google Drive, YouTube, and direct image/video files all preview inline with real thumbnails, with a Photo/Video toggle for links that can't be auto-detected
  • Admins can mark reports pending or solved, pin important ones to the top of the board, and edit or delete any report
  • Report board header shows live pending / solved / My Reports counts, plus a sidebar panel listing your own reports
  • Added a "Report a Bug" link to the homepage, sidebar, mobile nav, and legal pages footers
  • Google Drive video thumbnails now show a real preview image instead of a flat grey box with a misplaced play icon
  • Older report image links saved before the Photo/Video toggle existed now display and edit correctly instead of disappearing
June 21, 2026
  • Add Widget preview cards now show ₱0.00 placeholders instead of fake example amounts (per Isaiah's request)
  • Buckets and widgets can now be reordered by press-and-hold drag, like rearranging apps on a phone home screen — pinned and unpinned buckets each form their own drag group, widgets drag freely, and the last odd widget correctly swaps with neighbors above it
  • Transaction History's bucket filter rebuilt to match the Statistics page — type pills (Expense/Savings/Loan/Income, only showing types you actually have) plus a dropdown to narrow to one bucket, with a new "All" pill alongside them
  • Dashboard bucket filter pills gained a matching "All" icon that collapses to icon-only when inactive, same animation as the type pills everywhere else
  • Transaction History and Statistics bucket selectors were leaking soft-deleted buckets and buckets outside the selected month/range — both are now scoped correctly
  • Widget 3-dot menu no longer gets clipped by the Featured section when opened
  • Widgets in the same grid row now stretch to equal height again instead of sizing to their own content
  • Clicking "See All" on the dashboard no longer re-triggers the splash screen — it's a client-side navigation now instead of a full page reload
  • Funds Remaining and Unallotted Funds widgets now suggest adding an income bucket as an alternative to setting funds in Settings
  • Sidebar "Home" icon now matches the one used in the mobile bottom nav
June 17, 2026
  • Transaction history page now has a skeleton loading state — rows shimmer while data loads instead of showing a blank screen
  • Transaction history bucket filter chips now show only the emoji when inactive, expanding to show the full name on hover or when active — same behavior as the dashboard type pills
  • Transaction history now has a stats bar at the top — a full-width pill showing total spent (red), deposited (green), and transaction count, each with an info tooltip
  • Recurring transactions with soft-deleted rows in future months (from old sync logic) were silently blocking projections — those months now project correctly
  • Transactions inserted without an explicit deleted field had deleted = null, which excluded them from the projection template query in PostgreSQL
  • Calendar revamped — day cells now have clean grid lines on all sides, trailing empty cells filled with grey, and the grid fills the full viewport height on desktop with rows dividing evenly
  • Clicking a calendar day now opens a popup on both desktop and mobile
  • Calendar right panel on desktop now always shows due-date items for the month instead of transactions for the selected day
  • Calendar mobile list tab renamed to "Due Date" and now shows only due-date items, matching the desktop panel
  • Hovering due items in the calendar popup and right panel now lifts the card with a colored drop shadow based on the bucket color
  • Bottom nav active/hover highlight is now a compact pill shape instead of stretching across the full item width
  • Clicking the "Featured" label now also collapses the section, not just the chevron button
  • Changelog page date items in the left panel had a white hover background in dark mode — now uses the correct blue highlight
  • Hydration mismatch on dashboard caused by reading localStorage during initial render — featured collapsed state now syncs after mount
  • Removed inline script tag from root layout to fix React 19 console warning — theme is now applied server-side via a cookie set on toggle
June 17, 2026
  • Dark mode now persists correctly on iPhone PWA — reads directly from localStorage on load instead of relying solely on the inline script
  • Featured section is now collapsible — tap the chevron next to "Featured" to hide or show widgets, preference is saved across sessions
  • Add Widget modal now shows a bucket type selector to filter the bucket dropdown, and the dropdown is styled to match the rest of the app instead of a native select
  • Add Widget modal title now correctly says "Add Widget" when creating and "Edit Widget" when editing
  • Widget type previews now use correct dark mode colors when the app is in dark mode
  • View All / Minimize button on bucket cards now uses a chevron icon that rotates on toggle
  • Splash screen on every app load — animated logo assembles leaf by leaf, then your name and tagline slide in before the dashboard appears
  • Bottom nav now has equal spacing for all 5 items, left/right padding, and a blue squircle highlight on active and hover
  • AI insights now pull your full financial history — per-bucket monthly trajectories, all-time averages, top expenses by name, and salary utilization across all months — so analysis is grounded in real patterns, not just the visible chart
  • Switched AI model to Gemini 2.5 Flash with reasoning enabled — produces sharper, more specific analysis
  • Dashboard now remembers the last month you were viewing when you return — clicking the Dashboard nav link resets to current month
  • Date picker, emoji picker, and color picker now center on screen on mobile instead of appearing in unpredictable positions
  • Mobile popups now show a dark overlay behind them — tap outside to dismiss
June 16, 2026
  • Adding an entry from inside a bucket detail now locks the type selector to that bucket's type — the other three tabs are greyed out and unclickable
  • Bucket dropdown is also locked when adding an entry from a bucket detail — shows the current bucket with no chevron and can't be changed
  • iOS Safari no longer zooms in when tapping an input field — modal inputs are now 16px, the threshold Safari uses to skip auto-zoom
  • Stats AI insights upgraded from Groq to Gemini — sharper, more precise analysis
June 5, 2026
  • Security hardening — every database query is now scoped to your account on every read and write, so your data is fully isolated from other users; verified Row-Level Security blocks all direct database access as a second layer
  • Closed cross-account read leaks where bucket and allotment data could be returned for an id belonging to another user
  • Unallotted Funds widget: loan buckets were counted at their full amount owed instead of this month's payment, which made unallotted wildly (and wrongly) negative — now only the month's loan payment counts as allotted
  • Unallotted Funds widget now shows a red "over-allotted" amount when you've assigned more than your available funds, instead of clamping to ₱0
  • Income bucket detail was not showing your entries — income logs are deposits, but the view only listed expense-style rows; deposits now render with the green amount and Saved badge
  • Income bucket detail filter now reads All / Saved / Unsaved instead of Paid / Unpaid
  • Homepage hero cards now layer in real 3D depth — cards further back appear smaller, cards in front appear larger
  • Homepage hero: bucket type badge icons (savings/expense) were too light — they now use the bucket's full color
June 5, 2026
  • AI Insights toggle in Settings → Integrations — turn off to hide all AI buttons and the AI summary card in bucket stats
  • 15-second cooldown on all AI insight buttons to prevent abuse — shows a live countdown timer next to Regenerate
  • AI insight persists when closing and reopening a graph detail modal — no longer resets until page reload
  • Bar chart colors in dark mode now use muted, desaturated palette variants instead of raw hex colors
  • Bucket stat card info button hover uses the bucket's own palette color instead of blue
  • Bucket type filter pills animate: icon-only circle when inactive, expands to icon + label when active
  • Statistics page flashing caused by multiple useIsDark observers — hoisted to a single page-level instance
  • Switching bucket type no longer flashes — both state updates now batch in the same render
  • Mobile: dropdown and range label no longer overflow the screen on narrow viewports
June 5, 2026
  • Statistics page — range selector (this month / last month / 3mo / 6mo / this year / custom month picker), 4 graphs, 8 highlight cards, and per-bucket breakdown
  • Spending by Bucket graph — horizontal bars ranked by spend, each in the bucket's own color, with % share of total
  • Spent vs Salary graph — bar-per-month showing what % of your salary went out; turns red when over
  • Spending Trend graph — line chart of monthly spending over the range; single month shows a big number instead
  • Savings Trajectory graph — cumulative savings balance across all savings buckets over time
  • 8 highlight cards — Total Spent, Total Saved, Biggest Purchase, Best Savings Month, Monthly Average, Most Expensive Month, Transactions, Months Over Salary
